The Fortnite v10.10 Content Update is set to go live – here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming release!

With Fortnite Season X moving along week by week, the Battle Royale map continues to change in various ways.

Last week, we witnessed the highly anticipated return of Retail Row in place of Mega Mall in the v10.10 patch, with more changes on the way in the future.

Below, we have all of the information that we already know about the v10.10 Content Update, along with expected changes that we are hoping to receive.

When is the Fortnite Battle Royale v10.10 Content Update going to be released?

According to Epic Games, the v10.10 Content Update will be released on Tuesday, August 20.

The update will go live in-game at 5 AM PST / 8 AM EST / 1 PM BST, and there will be no downtime for the Content Update. This means that players will be able to drop-in immediately after it is released.

What new items are coming to Fortnite Battle Royale in the v10.10 Content Update? Early patch notes

As of now, the only item that is almost 100% coming in the Content Update is the recently announced ‘Junk Rift‘ throwable.

The Fortnite in-game ‘News’ page officially announced the item as ‘Coming Soon’ on Tuesday, August 19, which means that it will most likely release in the v10.10 Content Update.

From what we know already, the item will be a throwable that will open up a rift wherever it lands and drop a collection of ‘junk,’ much like an airstrike.

What map changes will happen in the v10.10 Content Update?

Much like what happened with Mega Mall last week, a new Rift Beacon has appeared at the fan-favorite soccer field.

If the same thing happens, as last week, this location will probably be changed at the release of the v10.10 Content Update.

At the time of writing, we aren’t completely sure what will happen, but we will keep you updated as more information is made available.
