Rift beacons have been a big part of Season X of Fortnite, but could we have missed a major clue about them way back in Season 4?

The end of Fortnite Season 4 has long been considered to be one of the greatest highlights of the game, even all these seasons later.

When that rocket launched, players had no idea what was in store and now with Season 10, they are getting to relive it all over again.

Are the rift beacons tied to the rocket?

Some eagle-eyed fans are spotting some curious similarities between the Season 4 rocket and the rift beacons that have been popping up all over the place in this season.

Reddit user magnusdane noticed that a rift beacon was actually part of the rocket design all along and the clues were right in front of us.

Of course, there was no real reason to expect the rift beacons way back in Season 4 but it’s still a cool little easter egg for fans who have been following the plot of Fortnite since the beginning.

Now, what exactly does this mean for the remainder of this season? We know what appears to be a new rocket is being built on top of Dusty Depot, beginning with v10.30.

Outside of that, it’s pretty hard to pinpoint exactly what direction Epic will go with the remainder of this season.

Theories have included several things, such as the Visitor going around and dismantling mechs, which now look like was done as a way to get parts for his rocket.

Another fan even noticed that the flight path of the rocket resulted in new locations in the future, perhaps indicated the rocket was behind every map change.

We’re in the final stretch of Season 10 so whatever is in store for the end, we expect to see it ramp up exponentially as we close out the final three weeks.
